WYSIWYG Editor for Firefox
What Can I Do With Signatures in The Editor?
With the WYSIWYG editor for Firefox, you can create a list of signatures to use in your messages. You give each signature an easy name to remember, then when you are creating messages you can select that sig from a list. It's easy!
Create a List of Signatures
- Go to a forum where HTML is enabled
- Go to your My Forums page.
- Click the My Preferences link, which is located near the bottom of the left column of your My Forums page.
- Scroll down until you see the WYSIWYG editor:

- Create your new sig in the editor just the way you want it to appear when you post a message. Here is an example of a sig:

- On the top row of the toolbar, the button next to the Switch Sig dropdown box is for Saving Sigs to a list. The button is circled in red in the example above. Click the Save Sigs button, and enter in a friendly name for your Sig. Click OK.
- All the HTML for that Sig will be saved. This includes all images, borders, links and text. You will be able to select the Sig when you post messages, and all the HTML will automatically be placed in the Sig area of your message.
- Note: If you add several signatures at once, you should re-start Firefox when you are finished to make sure your changes do not get lost if Firefox crashes or you have a power failure.
Edit or Copy a Signature
- Go to a forum where HTML is enabled
- Go to the My Preferences page, and scroll down until you see the WYSIWYG editor:

- Click the Switch Sig drop down box. Select the Sig you want to edit or copy. The Sig will display in the editor.
- Change the Sig to look the way you want it to
- When your Sig is ready, click the Save Sig button. It is right next to the Switch Sig drop down box. You can either save it with the same name, or type in a new name to create a copy. Click OK.
Change Your List of Signatures
- Go to a forum where HTML is enabled
- Go to the My Preferences page, and scroll down until you see the WYSIWYG editor:

- Click the 'Editor Options' button to see a small popup for Managing Signatures:

- Use the arrow buttons to re-order your list of Sigs. Just select the Sig you want to move, then use the buttons to move it up or down. You can use this to move the Sigs you use most to the top of the list, or to put them in alphabetical order.
- Use the Rename button to rename a Sig on the list. Just select the Sig, click the Rename button and type in a new name for the Sig
- Use the Delete button to delete Sigs from the list. Just select the Sig and click the Delete button
- Once you are done, be sure to click Save List
- If you change your mind, click Cancel and your list won't be changed.
- Note: The Switch Sig drop down box is not automatically updated when you rename, delete or re-order your list. You will need to click on one of the other tabs (Smileys, Colors, Fonts) in the 'Editor Options' window then click back to the 'Sigs' tab
Select a Signature from a List
- After you create a list, you will see a new drop down box called "Switch Sig"
when you post messages. The editor toolbar will look something like this:

- To choose a Sig to use in your message, click the Switch Sig drop down box and select one of your Sigs.
- The HTML for that Sig will be automatically copied to the Sig area of your message.
- Click the Post button
- The Sig that you selected will display in your message.
- Note: Delphi does not provide Basic members with a Sig area, so Basic members will need to select a Sig each time they post.
